Service Description

Today's youth are at risk from a society overrun with violence and aggression. From homes to schools and everywhere in between, children are being bullied, verbally and physically abused, neglected and going unprotected. Even if a child is not on the receiving end of maltreatment, they observe it happening to the people they care about - and the impact is the same. Trauma is no longer specific to certain populations, but a widespread phenomenon that is detrimental to one of the most defenseless populations - our children. JOIN US in this very important discussion that affects EVERY family! We will answer the following questions: What dangers exist for today's youth? What exactly is Trauma and how does it effect young people? How can a parent tell if their child is experiencing trauma? How can parents make themselves and their homes a safe haven for their children? Group Sessions will be followed by break-out sessions. Participants will remain in the same break-out group to promote safe sharing and genuine support throughout the day. You will leave this event with knowledge and tools you can implement in your home + school immediately.
